Who makes Nameryn

Nameryn is built and maintained by Rodrigo Chame, an independent creator with a background in digital marketing and video game music composition. There is no company behind it, no investors, and no paid placement — it is a solo project shaped by one person's taste.

That background is why Nameryn cares about what it cares about. Years of marketing work are why the business, domain, and brand generators are built around how a name actually reads, sounds, and holds up as a brand — not just random word pairs. A composer's ear is why the band and song title generators get so much attention: a good band name has rhythm and mood, and those tools are tuned for it.

How it works

Everything runs locally in your browser. The word pools, templates, and generation logic ship as plain JavaScript files — no server call is needed for generation. Pages need to load from the website, but generating new results does not send your input to a Nameryn server.

Your saved favorites are stored in your browser's localStorage under the key funny_idea_log. This data never leaves your device. No account is required. Nameryn uses cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous pageview and performance measurement; it never receives generated ideas or Library contents. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Why it exists

Creative blocks are universal. Naming a band, choosing a song title, or finding the right direction for an image prompt all involve the same stuck feeling: you need something interesting fast, and the blank page is not helping.

A generator removes the pressure. You do not have to come up with anything — you just react. The good ones stand out immediately. The weird ones are at least funny. The point is to get unstuck, not to hand you a finished product.
