AI Agent Name Generator

Names for an AI assistant people will talk to, an AI agent your company puts in front of customers, or a robot that lives on a desk. Assistant mode makes wake words built to be easy to say and screened against everyday words. Press Hear it to hear your device say a name before you pick it. Free, no account, everything runs in your browser.

Tick a name to check its .com — up to 5 at once. Nothing is looked up until you press the button.

⭐ Saved favorites stay in your browser — find them all in the Idea Library.

About the buttons next to results: in company mode, Register a .ai appears after a .ai check finds no registration and is an affiliate link, so Nameryn may earn a commission at no extra cost to you; Make a logo appears after you save a name or a check finds no registration and is a plain link today. Neither changes which names you get. Hear it uses only a voice installed on your device and sends nothing anywhere. A .com or .ai check reads the public registry once: it is not a guarantee or a trademark search.

What makes a good wake word

A wake word has one job: the assistant must hear it when it is meant and ignore it when it is not. That is a sound problem more than a branding one, and it is why assistant mode builds names from rules instead of a word list.

How the six modes work

Assistant invents wake words from the rules above and mixes in a few hand-picked ones that pass the same rules. Company agent mixes person and role names a brand can carry (Ellis, Harbor, Concierge) with coined agent names that join a short brand prefix to a role (OriPilot, SolaCoach); this is the mode with .com and .ai checks and a logo next step. Companion mixes friendly object names (Sprocket, Biscuit, Mochi) with short two-syllable invented names. Robot mixes sturdy machine words (Torque, Piston, Servo) with a short prefix joined to a robot word (MechaPal, AxoGear). Avatar builds longer, three-syllable invented names on the wake-word rules, for a character people see on a screen. Hologram joins a root of light or sky (Lumen, Stel, Zeph) to a soft ending (Lumenix, Stelera, Zephora).

Every coined name passes the same safety and known-brand screens as Nameryn's business names, and the hand-picked lists were read for clashes with assistants, robots and brands we could find. Search a name before you commit to it all the same.

Names AI assistants and robots already use

No mode ever offers these names, alone or as part of a joined name. They belong to assistants, AI products, robots and companions people already talk to, a few that were retired, and the best-known AIs from film and television, so a new one with the same name would be confused with them, or worse, wake the wrong device.

AI agent names — frequently asked questions

What makes a good wake word for an AI assistant?

Two or three syllables, a clear consonant at the start, and a sound that does not turn up in everyday speech. A short word is quick to say; a strong opening sound cuts through room noise; and a word nobody says by accident keeps the assistant from waking when someone is only talking. Assistant mode builds every name to the first two rules and screens it against everyday words for the third.

Why are dictionary words and first names left out?

An assistant named after an everyday word or a common first name wakes up every time someone says that word or calls that person. Every name the assistant rule can make was checked against an English dictionary and a list of common English first names, and the short names were also read by hand for common words in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and a few other languages; the matches are skipped. A word in a language we did not check can still slip through, so say the name to people who speak the languages you sell in.

Is the name sent anywhere when I press Hear it?

No. Hear it uses only a voice installed on your device. If your browser has no installed English voice, the button says No voice and nothing is spoken; the page never falls back to an online speech service.

Can I use a generated name for my product?

Yes, the names are free to use. In company mode each name has a .com and a .ai check. Before you launch, search the name in app stores and a trademark register in each country you sell in.

Are the names saved anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Names you favorite are stored locally on this device only, and a check or a next-step button sends a name out only when you press it.
