Shape from the UCP specification, version 2026-08-25: ucp.version, services and payment_handlers are required, capabilities optional, and the public signing keys sit in keys as a JWK set. Replace every REPLACE before you publish, and serve the file at /.well-known/ucp as JSON.

How do I make my store agent-ready?
Start with the product page: AI shopping agents read its structured data, so every product needs a name, image, price, currency and availability, plus a description, brand, product URL and SKU. Paste a product page above to see what is missing. Then publish a UCP profile at /.well-known/ucp if you take orders through agents.
What product data do AI shopping agents need?
Google's merchant listings require name, image and an offer with price and currency, and recommend availability, description, brand, GTIN, SKU and ratings. OpenAI's Agentic Commerce Protocol feed requires an item ID, title, description, URL, brand, seller name, image URL, availability and price.
What is the /.well-known/ucp file?
It is the Universal Commerce Protocol business profile: a JSON file that tells agents which protocol version, services, capabilities, payment handlers and signing keys your store supports. The generator above writes one with placeholders for your keys and payment handlers.
What is the difference between ACP and UCP?
ACP, the Agentic Commerce Protocol, was built by OpenAI with Stripe and powers checkout in ChatGPT. UCP, the Universal Commerce Protocol, was co-developed by Shopify and Google so agents can discover what any merchant supports and buy from it. Stripe's docs cover both.
Is my store on Shopify already agent-ready?
